Description
The Whittet-Higgins HTW-28 is a hardened tongued washer designed to be used with all Whittet-Higgins bearing and shaft locknuts to lock and retain bearings and power-transmission assemblies. Its internal key (tongue) seats into a keyed shaft to limit radial movement, while the hardened body protects softer lockwashers and serves as a precision spacer against heavy rotational thrust loads. Rated to 350°F maximum operating temperature and finished in black oxide with a wax coating to inhibit corrosion.
