Description
The Whittet-Higgins KM-01 is a metric bearing locknut manufactured to meet and exceed the ISO 2982-2:2013(E) specification. Threaded onto a shaft, it secures, locks, and retains bearings and power transmission assemblies while delivering accurate angular positioning through numerous locking positions.
It is used together with matched MB series lockwashers: an external tab on the lockwasher bends into a slot on the locknut to prevent the assembly from loosening due to vibration, shock, and torque, with no special tools required for installation. Made from carbon steel, it is effective on both soft and hardened shafts, rated to a maximum operating temperature of 300°F, manufactured in the USA, and RoHS compliant.
