Description
The Whittet-Higgins KMM series is a high-strength metric bearing locknut machined from hardened alloy for high axial-load capacity. It threads onto a shaft to clamp, accurately position, and retain bearings and power-transmission assemblies, and is matched with MBA heavy-duty series lockwashers whose tab seats against the nut to lock it in place and prevent loosening from vibration, shock, and torque.
Numerous locking positions provide precise angular positioning, and the nut installs on both soft and hardened shafts with no special tools required. KMM locknuts meet and exceed ISO 2982-2:2013(E), carry a maximum operating temperature of 300 degrees F, and are manufactured in the USA and RoHS compliant.
