Description
The Whittet-Higgins NH-14 is a heavy-duty inch-series bearing locknut machined from carbon steel for high axial-load applications. It threads onto the shaft and is secured by a matched WH-series lockwasher, whose tab seats in a slot to lock and retain bearings and power-transmission components while preventing loosening from vibration, shock, and torque. The numerous locking positions allow accurate angular positioning, and installation requires no special tools on either soft or hardened shafts.
Interchangeable with the TAN series of locknuts, the NH-14 meets and exceeds the ANSI / ABMA 8.2-1999 specification and is rated for operation up to 300°F. It is manufactured in the USA and is RoHS compliant.
