Description
The Whittet-Higgins NI-07 is a bearing locknut from the NI series, threaded 16 threads per inch in the National Fine thread series for finer assembly adjustment and accurate angular positioning across numerous locking positions. Machined from carbon steel, it is used together with a matching WI series lockwasher, whose tab bends into a nut slot to secure, lock, and retain bearings and power transmission assemblies and to prevent loosening from vibration, shock, and torque.
Engineered for high axial loading applications, the NI-07 installs with no special tools and works effectively on both soft and hardened shafts. It is rated for operating temperatures up to 300°F, is manufactured in the USA, and is RoHS compliant.
