Description

The Whittet-Higgins NT-17 is a small-profile inch-series bearing locknut that secures, locks, and retains bearings and power transmission assemblies on a threaded shaft. Its reduced outside diameter and thickness make it ideal for limited-space applications and lighter axial loading.

The NT-17 is matched with WT series lockwashers: a washer tab seats into one of the locknut's many slots to provide accurate angular positioning and prevent loosening from vibration, shock, and torque. Machined from carbon steel, it installs without special tools on both soft and hardened shafts and meets and exceeds ANSI / ABMA 8.2-1999.
