Description
The Whittet-Higgins WH series is a heavy-duty bearing lockwasher built for high axial loading applications. Used with the mating locknut, it secures, locks, and retains bearings and power transmission assemblies on the shaft, while its numerous locking positions provide accurate angular positioning and prevent the assembly from loosening under vibration, shock, and torque.
Manufactured from carbon steel, it installs without special tools and is effective on both soft and hardened shafts. It works with NH and TAN series locknuts and meets and exceeds the requirements of ANSI/ABMA 8.2-1999, with a maximum operating temperature of 300 degrees F.
