Cut clean, leak-free tapered pipe threads with NPT pipe taps and dies from Drill America. We stock individual taps and complete tap & die sets covering 1/8" through 1-1/2" NPT, in carbon steel for general shop use.

NPT threads seal by wedging as they tighten — use a tapered NPT tap (not a straight NPS tap) for fittings that must hold pressure, and back the tap out frequently to clear chips.
