Description

The Whittet-Higgins BAST series is a small-profile bearing assembly socket (installation tool) intended for the company's reduced-diameter NT (basic) and PT (precision) small-profile inch-thread bearing locknuts and matching WT/PWT lockwashers. Like the standard BAS line, the socket encapsulates the outside diameter of the locknut and drives all four spanner slots simultaneously through hardened pins, while a square drive connects to standard ratchets, torque wrenches and pneumatic drivers for accurate, damage-free preloading and securing of bearings. BAST-16 is one size within this small-profile socket series.
