Description
The Whittet-Higgins BLAS-19 is a single-piece Bearlok assembly socket (installation tool) used to safely install, adjust and preload BL/BLM Bearlok bearing retaining nuts and other Whittet-Higgins spanner-slotted locknuts. The hardened-steel socket encapsulates the locknut's outside diameter and drives all four spanner slots at once, while a standard square drive connects it to ratchets, torque wrenches or pneumatic drivers for accurate, damage-free preloading. It provides more than two inches of clearance over shaft and spindle ends, uses replaceable tool-steel drive pins, and is rated for operation to 300°F.
