Description
The Whittet-Higgins BLC-1250 is a Bearlok balanced locking collar (shrink-disc style) that mechanically self-locks onto a smooth, keyless shaft, delivering higher axial holding capacity than conventional clamp or set-screw collars. Tightening the socket head cap screws draws a hardened compression ring over the slit, externally tapered base nut, forcing a uniform 360-degree grip to the center of the shaft for repeatable, dynamically balanced high-speed performance. It is black-oxide coated with a wax finish to inhibit corrosion, rated to 300°F, and made in the USA (RoHS compliant).
