Description
The Whittet-Higgins HYAN-14 is a hydraulic installation nut used to preload tapered and roller bearings and to seat couplings, gears, sheaves, and other components onto threaded shafts. It develops precise axial installation force through hydraulic pressure acting on an integrated hardened-alloy face piston, and is engineered to withstand 8,000 PSI, with 1/4 inch NPT hydraulic connections on the rear face and outside diameter.
Two integrated dial indicator positioning holes support accurate advance measurement, while integrated screw jacks simplify O-ring replacement. Spanner wrench grooves and pin spanner holes on the outside diameter and rear face aid installation. Nickel-plated alloy construction provides corrosion resistance; the tool is manufactured in the USA and is RoHS compliant.
