Description

The Whittet-Higgins MBS series is a stainless steel metric bearing lockwasher used with KMS series locknuts to secure, lock, and retain bearings and power transmission assemblies on a shaft. An inner tang seats in the shaft keyway while an outer tab is bent into a slot of the mating KMS locknut, providing accurate angular positioning across numerous locking positions and preventing the assembly from loosening due to vibration, shock, and torque.

Corrosion-resistant stainless construction makes the MBS line well suited to wet and chemically aggressive service, and it installs without special tools on both soft and hardened shafts. Promoted as the most cost-efficient metric bearing lockwasher line available, the MBS series meets and exceeds ISO 2982-2:2013(E), is RoHS compliant, and is manufactured in the USA.
