Description

The Whittet-Higgins PW-01 is a precision lockwasher in the PW series, manufactured from carbon steel for securing, locking, and retaining bearings and power transmission assemblies on threaded shafts. Its precision-ground parallel faces ensure assembly squareness and straightness to the shaft, while the washer provides accurate angular positioning across numerous locking positions to prevent loosening caused by vibration, shock, and torque.

Designed to be matched with PW series locknuts and compatible with TAN series locknuts, the PW-01 installs without special tools and performs effectively on both soft and hardened shafts. It meets and exceeds the requirements of ANSI/ABMA 8.2-1999, is rated for operation up to 300°F, and is made in the USA and RoHS compliant.
