Description

The Whittet-Higgins RN-38 is a Removal Nut from the RN inch-design series, a slotted steel nut that threads onto the oversized end of a tapered adapter or withdrawal sleeve to dismount a tapered-bore bearing from a shaft. It carries a UNS Special External Class 3A thread per ANSI/ABMA 8.2-1999, with a spanner-slotted face for driving and a flat pilot (face) diameter that bears against the bearing inner-ring face during withdrawal.
