Description
The Whittet-Higgins W-032 is a small-profile bearing lockwasher from the W-000 series, manufactured from carbon steel to ANSI/ABMA 8.2-1999 specifications. It is matched with N-000 series locknuts to secure, lock, and retain bearings and power transmission assemblies on a shaft. An inner tongue keys the washer to the shaft while its numerous external tabs bend into the slots of the mating locknut, providing accurate angular positioning and preventing the assembly from loosening under vibration, shock, and torque.
Its reduced diameter and thickness suit limited-space and lighter axial-loading applications, and it installs without special tools on both soft and hardened shafts. Rated for a maximum operating temperature of 300°F, this is one of the most cost-efficient light-duty bearing lockwasher lines available. Manufactured in the USA and RoHS compliant.
