HTW Series Hardened Tongued Washers
An HTW hardened tongued washer sits between a Whittet-Higgins bearing locknut and the assembly beneath it. Its internal key (tongue) seats in the shaft keyway to limit radial movement, while the hardened body does two jobs a standard lockwasher cannot: it protects the softer lockwasher from being chewed up under load, and it acts as a precision spacer against heavy rotational thrust.

Applications
