N / AN Series Bearing Locknuts – Inch, SAE
The N and AN series are the standard inch-thread bearing locknuts — the baseline part the whole Whittet-Higgins inch range is built around. Each nut is used with a matching W series tongued lockwasher, whose tab bends into a nut slot to lock the assembly and whose key seats in the shaft keyway. AN sizes extend the range into the larger bores.
