SC Series Two-Piece Shaft Collars – Inch
The SC series is a two-piece (split) inch shaft collar. Its clamshell design assembles around the shaft and is drawn tight by hardened alloy socket head cap screws, so it can be fitted or repositioned without pulling bearings, sprockets or couplings off the shaft first. The mechanical clamp grips soft and hardened shafts far more securely than a set-screw collar, resists loosening under vibration, shock and torque, and leaves no mar on the shaft. Available in carbon steel, aluminium (A suffix) and stainless steel (S suffix).

Applications
Adjustable shaft stops and shoulders, axial location of bearings, sprockets, sheaves and couplings, and retrofit work on installed shafting where a one-piece collar cannot be slid into place.
