The Nachi 22328 EW33KC3 is a large double-row spherical roller bearing of 140 mm bore, 300 mm outside diameter and 102 mm width, combining a machined brass cage with a 1:12 tapered bore. On shafts this size a tapered bore is close to essential: the bearing is drawn up a tapered seat or sleeve and the fitter sets the residual clearance by measurement, which is far more controllable than pressing a large ring onto a parallel shaft. The brass cage handles the shock and heat of heavy drives. C3 starting clearance, rated -30 to +200 degrees C.
