Description
The Whittet-Higgins HYKM is a metric hydraulic installation nut used to preload and seat tapered and roller bearings and to mount couplings, gears, sheaves, and other components onto threaded shafts. It threads onto the shaft and uses hydraulic pressure delivered through 1/4" NPT connections to advance a hardened-alloy face piston that drives the mating component precisely into position. Engineered to withstand 8,000 PSI, it includes two integrated dial-indicator positioning holes for accurate advance measurement and integrated screw jacks for easy O-ring service. Built in the USA as an installation tool, it is nickel plated for corrosion resistance and RoHS compliant.
