Description
The Whittet-Higgins PT-03 is a small-profile precision locknut engineered for lighter axial-loading precision applications where space is limited. Its reduced outside diameter and thickness fit tight envelopes while delivering the most precise basic light-duty adjustment and setting available, with double the locking positions of an NT locknut for tighter, more repeatable bearing and power-transmission assembly setup.
The PT-03 is matched with PWT and PWTF series lockwashers, whose bent tab engages the nut to secure, lock, and retain bearings and power transmission components against loosening from vibration, shock, and torque. Machined from carbon steel and effective on both soft and hardened shafts, it installs with no special tools. Manufactured in the USA and RoHS compliant, it meets and exceeds the ANSI/ABMA 8.2-1999 specification.
