Description
The Whittet-Higgins RTDM-14 is a metric rethreading die used to clean, repair, and reform damaged external shaft threads. Its ground threads precisely chase the shaft, efficiently removing old anaerobic locking compounds and particulate while correcting minor thread deformations to restore proper fit.
The hexagonal body is driven with readily available shop wrenches (adjustable, chain, strap, etc.), and the die is machined from case-hardened carbon steel. It conforms to the thread specifications delineated in ISO 2982-2:2013(E), is rated for a maximum operating temperature of 300°F, and is manufactured in the USA and RoHS compliant.
