Nachi's 1308 C3 is a medium-sized double-row self-aligning ball bearing of 40 mm bore, 90 mm outside diameter and 23 mm width, supplied with C3 clearance. The spherical outer raceway lets the ball set swivel to follow a deflecting shaft or a misaligned housing without loading the bearing edges, and C3 clearance adds room for thermal growth and interference fits on top of that. Very low friction and correspondingly low heat generation. Cylindrical bore, sheet steel cage, rated -30 to +150 degrees C.
