PP / PPM Series Bearing Lockplates

A lockplate locks a large-bore locknut where there is no room — or no keyway — for a tongued lockwasher. The plate bolts to the face of the nut and is secured with locking wire, so nothing has to be bent, and nothing relies on a shaft keyway. PP covers inch locknuts (supplied with the required 5/8 in hex head 5/16-18 screws and locking wire); PPM covers metric trapezoidal-thread nuts.

Applications

Large-bore bearing seats in rolling mills, marine propulsion, paper machines and heavy gear drives, in limited-space and lighter axial-load applications.
