BASI / BAST Series Bearing Assembly Sockets – 16 TPI & Small Profile
Two specialised assembly socket lines. BASI is sized for the 16 threads-per-inch inch-series retainers — NI retaining nuts and BHI BEARHUG locknuts. BAST is the reduced-diameter socket for the small-profile NT (basic) and PT (precision) locknuts and their matching WT and PWT lockwashers. Both encapsulate the nut outside diameter and apply even force through four hardened pins engaging the spanner slots, with a square drive for ratchets, torque wrenches and pneumatic drivers.
